Bathroom renovation
Bathrooms and toilets are increasingly being made with more sophistication as we have realized that they are spaces that have a lot of prominence.
They have gone from being mere spaces to clean ourselves, to being spaces of worship to the body, where we do our physiological needs and also where we groom and relax. For this it is necessary to achieve spaces where we feel comfortable.
Bathtub or shower will depend on the tastes and customs of each one. There are many possibilities, although the most efficient is undoubtedly the shower. We can also place a shower tray with a hydromassage column that would be a half-way solution between a bath and a shower.
Bathroom screens
Screens with a fixed panel when the length of the shower tray or bathtub is greater than 140 cm. When the length is less, it is better to close the gap with a closed screen.
To prevent the lime from the water we use from "marking" it, a good trick is to place a printed glass on one side instead of a transparent glass. This type of solution is a little more expensive because the screens usually come with transparent, matt or screen-printed glass.
The bidet is a sanitary fixture that tends to disappear already in small bathrooms, and increasingly also in larger ones. This allows you to gain space for the other sanitary ware and simplifies the installation.
New and/or renovated hotels no longer usually place a bidet, but instead place a washing kit next to the toilet (tap plus flexo and mini-sprinkler, with cold and hot water outlet or only cold)
Toilets are increasingly placed suspended to facilitate cleaning and because they look better aesthetically. When placing a suspended toilet, it is necessary to hide the cistern inside a work or plasterboard drawer, and place a double water discharge button panel through which maintenance is carried out when necessary. This usually generates a shelf where you can place plants, air fresheners or decorative elements.
Bathroom furniture
The bathroom furniture allows for endless compositions. You can combine the countertops, drawers, bucks, sinks, faucets, mirror and sconces.
The most economical options are undoubtedly the packs in which the furniture comes, with drawers or doors, the recessed sink, the mirror and the wall light above the mirror. There is a wide variety of colors and textures, always in lacquered or laminated finishes. For bathrooms with poor ventilation it is better to opt for lacquered furniture because it does not have edged sides and better withstands the condensation that can form inside.
The color temperature of the lights in these rooms is best at 4000 K, which is the light that most closely resembles the spectrum of sunlight, with a tendency towards white.
As for the general colors of bathrooms and toilets, the trend is towards neutral colors ranging from earth colors to ochre and light or medium grays. For more daring options, you can opt for combinations of these colors with a wall of a darker color that is not so neutral, or highlight the area of the bathtub or shower from the rest of the room.
