SUBSIDIZED RENOVATIONS IN BARCELONA
For housing (Subsidized reforms in Barcelona)
The Generalitat de Catalunya and the Barcelona City Council, through the Barcelona Housing Consortium, annually grant non-repayable subsidies, in the order in which they are received, of up to €20,000 for the subsidised renovation of a home located in the city of Barcelona that is to be included in the Barcelona City Council's affordable housing stock, for a period of 5 years.
In addition to this subsidy, it also grants €1,500 in aid upon signing the rental contract with the future tenant and tax benefits with the IBI.
Another aid that is currently being granted is the subsidy for “Arranjaments” in homes of vulnerable people, with a grant of up to €9,000 as a non-refundable amount, to improve energy efficiency by changing windows and improving mobility and accessibility within the home to all rooms, especially bathrooms and the kitchen, in order to achieve decent housing and have a better quality of life.
For residential buildings
The EU's Next Generation funds will also be managed through the Administrations in the form of direct aid for energy rehabilitation or by facilitating access to loans for communities of owners.
The purpose of these rehabilitation grants is to improve the energy efficiency of homes to reduce energy demand and promote energy savings for families, while helping to reduce CO2 emissions into the atmosphere.
There are also grants for common elements of residential buildings.
The rehabilitation aids eligible for subsidy are:
1.- Structural works
2.- Works aimed at reducing the building's energy demand, guaranteeing its safety and improving the urban landscape
- 2.1 Facades
- 2.2 Roofs and terraces
- 2.3 Median walls
- 2.4 Interior courtyards
- 2.4 Green roofs
3.- Works to be carried out in the common general facilities:
- 3.1 Water, gas, electricity and drainage
- 3.2 Direct water
- 3.3 Eliminate obsolete asbestos (fibre cement) elements
- 3.4 Installation of alternative energies: solar, thermal and/or photovoltaic energy panels
4.- Works aimed at improving accessibility
- 4.1 Elevators
- 4.2 Elimination of architectural barriers and accessibility improvements
- 4.3 Stairs and halls
5.- Complementary aids:
- 5.1 Social cohesion programme
- 5.2 Use of low ecological footprint material
- 5.3 Actions in listed buildings
6.- Urban complexes and complexes of special interest
